2 weeks old!

It's been 2 weeks!! Payton is doing great and keeping mommy and daddy very busy. We experienced our first "real bath" a few nights ago and although she was not too fond of it in the beginning, she surprisingly seemed to start to enjoy them. It must have been Mommy's special touch...

Going Home Day

After 48 hours in the hospital, and a clean bill of health, we were all ready to go home. Daddy woke up Payton and dressed her up in her "going home outfit."

Well, she was so cute, Mommy had to take a picture with her too.

And finally, we got buckled up for her first car ride, and headed for home.

Monday 4-7-08 was Payton's Birthday

Well, she is finally here, weighing 6 lbs - 15 oz and 19 inches long, Payton joined us at 12:40PM on Monday, April 7th. An afternoon delivery seems perfect, but rest asure, she took her time warming up for this moment. Payton starting giving Mommy contractions on Saturday evening at about 7PM while at dinner. They were frequent enough by 3AM Sunday Morning to cause us to take a trip to the hospital. But, by 7AM Sunday Morning, we found ourselves back at home and still waiting.

Needless to say, Sunday was spent resting from the night before, and waiting for things to pick back up again. We even managed to get some sleep Sunday night until about 3AM, when things started up again. Only this time Mommy's water broke, so we knew she was definitely on her way into the world this time. Then, after a long morning of waiting, she joined us with a very curious and surprised look on her face!

Surprisingly to both of us, she was pretty quiet through most of it and seemed very alert!

Then, once she was all cleaned up, she let us hear those vocal cords...
